Thinking about taking my fiance to a meeting.. going as a "worldly person"
by OneStepOut93 ini may take my fiance to a meeting.
give them fake names and just see how my fiance reacts.
he's been curious about seeing what i hated so much about the whole thing (not that he'll really understand everything, i mean of course he never will to my extent but)... i'd like to see what an outsiders view on the whole thing would be as well.

How appropriate that all false religion is likened to a prostitute! The clergy have prostituted themselves with the leaders of this wicked world.
Instead of loyally supporting Jesus and his Kingdom, they have given their support to human rulers and have compromised godly principles just to gain political influence. They stand in stark contrast with the clean, virginlike anointed ones of God.
But who will destroy the harlotlike organization? Jehovah God will put “his thought” into the hearts of “the ten horns” of the “scarlet-colored wild beast.” These horns represent all the present political powers that give support to the United Nations, an organization pictured by the “scarlet-colored wild beast.”
Should we conclude, though, that the destruction of the religions of Babylon the Great results in the death of all the former members of those religions? Apparently not... So, apparently, even some of the clergy will abandon their religious course and deny that they were ever part of those false religions.
8 Although we do not fully understand all that will happen during that time of test, we can expect that it will involve some measure of sacrifice. In the first century, Christians had to leave behind their possessions and endure hardships in order to survive. (Mark 13:15-18) To remain faithful, will we be willing to experience material loss? Will we be ready to do whatever is required of us to prove our loyalty to Jehovah?
9 This will not be the time to preach the “good news of the Kingdom.” That time will have passed. The time for “the end” will have come! (Matt. 24:14) No doubt God’s people will proclaim a hard-hitting judgment message. This may well involve a declaration announcing that Satan’s wicked world is about to come to its complete end.
10 None of this will go unnoticed by our enemies. Under inspiration, the prophet Ezekiel explains what Gog of Magog, a coalition of nations, will do.. Spiritually speaking, God’s people will stand out as unique, “in the center of the earth,” as it were.
This will be too much for the nations. Yes, they will be eager to attack Jehovah’s anointed ones as well as their associates.
13 How will the goats react when they realize that “everlasting cutting-off” awaits them? They “will beat themselves in grief.” (Matt. 24:30)
But how will Christ’s brothers and their faithful companions react at that time? With full faith in Jehovah God and his Son, Jesus Christ, they will heed Jesus’ command: “As these things start to occur, stand up straight and lift up your heads, because your deliverance is getting near.” (Luke 21:28) Yes, we will have a positive attitude, confident of deliverance.
..Together with his 144,000 corulers in heaven, Jesus will come to the rescue of God’s people here on earth.
The resulting war of Armageddon will lead to the magnifying of Jehovah’s holy name. (Rev. 16:16) At that time, all goatlike ones “will depart into everlasting cutting-off.” The earth will finally be cleansed of all wickedness, and the great crowd will pass through the final part of the great tribulation.
All those surviving on the earth will bask in God’s favor and experience bounteous expressions of his love. What a marriage feast that will be! Do we not look forward to that day with eager expectation?

Those are a few highlights from Sunday's Watchtower study.

You tell me, does God give a damn?
No. If he/it exists, it doesn't give a damn about the wonderful animal life on this planet..
That puts any 'God' (especially the Bible God, to use a specific example) and myself on a different moral plane entirely..
Think about it, you Jehovahs Witness lurkers.
Do you care about animals?
Your God doesn't.

Hi. I think it's a good idea.. Especially if you go this Sunday.
I highly recommend taking him to this Sunday's meeting.
Look at the study article they'll be reading:
www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/w20150715/rapture-anointed-great-tribulation/
Maybe don't give him any warning what will be studied, just say nothing and see how he reacts.. ;)

[ My Book of Bible Stories ]
Jehovah answers them by giving brave leaders to help them.
The Bible calls these leaders judges. Joshua was the first judge, and some of the judges after him were named Othʹni·el, Eʹhud and Shamgar. But two of the people who help Israel are women named Deborah and Jael
Deborah is a prophetess. Jehovah gives her information about the future, and then she tells the people what Jehovah says.
Deborah is also a judge. She sits under a certain palm tree in the hill country, and people come to her to get help with their problems.

Deconstructing Splanes 'Generation' explanation
by Splash inat around 4 minutes into the september 2015 video splane said "for the man and the baby to be part of josephs generation they would have had to have lived at least some time during joseph's lifespan.".
this is the lynchpin of the wt argument, that two lives must overlap to be considered the same generation.. let's take an example of twins who are born just a few minutes apart.
obviously, these twins are the same generation as each other.

A costly mistake
When JW Broadcasting was first announced 11 months ago I said at the time it was great news. The worst thing the Governing Body could possibly do was reveal themselves to their doting followers.
It is far easier to respect and admire your leaders when you can’t see or hear them. Having them thrusted at your TV screen or computer monitor in all their bumbling, arrogant, senile, jewelry-flashing glory changes the whole dynamic...
Increasingly it became obvious that Watchtower’s self-imposed time limit on Armageddon had expired, because too much time had passed since 1914 for there to be any survivors among Jehovah’s Witnesses old enough to have memories of the outbreak of World War I.
In fact, at the time of writing in September 2015, only 50 individuals older than 110 years old are known to still be alive.
The first “group” of “this generation” would witness and understand the events of 1914, and the second group would be those who were born before the last individuals in the first group died (hence an “overlapping” generation).
If you don’t understand this, it is not due to any failure on your part. It is because it doesn’t make sense.
The teaching rides roughshod over the English language, redefining what “generation” means, and relying on the audience to willfully bypass their logical thinking skills by asserting the incomprehensible as indisputable truth.
After all, if you can arbitrarily insist that a generation can be composed of two groups, why not have three, four, five – on into infinity? The word “generation” quickly loses all meaning.
You can read the whole article here:

To the above posts:
My post on page 1 explains where he got this theory from. It was bases on one incident.
The OP was badly worded I feel, there may even be a slight language barrier, but it really is not important to the letter writing campaign.
The template letter doesn't mention it, I'm not entirely sure why he chose to word the OP that way.
Possibly he thought (mistakenly) that that was the only way to get attention to the thread.. Don't know.
The point is, you can quite easily take the letter and kit as a starting point, and then make your own.
If we share ideas, we can improve things and send letters/emails to the same places. The aim is to contact all states in America and maybe MP's in England at a later date. But we need help.
Does anyone want to help, or just pick on the OP and not help us at all? (He has told me it is only a suspicion).
